Holidays at Home
The holidays have come and gone and now it’s time to get down to business. Here’s an overview of my yuletide festivities with my calling card as a backdrop.
Part One: The Life, Death, and Resurrection of a Tree.
What once was alive…

…suddenly was dead.

But, after a Christmas miracle, our first tree found its rightful location outside with the birds.

Part Two: Deck the Halls
Once we had a tree that survived, the decorating could begin.

Let’s begin with a wreath on every door.

Or every dog.

And then we’ll decorate the tree.

What’s a tree without tinsel?

Someone needs a longer sweater.

Part Three: Party Hardy
I couldn’t let all the decorating go to waste, so we had an open house for old friends and new. Definitely the highlight of my holidays.
Piggean was the welcome wagon.

Santa stopped by early.

And my trophy fish caught a Christmas ball.

Mr. Padla settled down for a winter’s nap before our guests arrived.

The spread.

And the biggest hit of the party, the punch.

But the action really began once Peter hung his faux mistletoe.

I hope you all have the happiest New Year imaginable and that this year we can make everyone’s house their calling card!
